Here at Pit Products we manufacture trailer storage cabinets and trailer storage accessories so we figured we needed a demonstration trailer to be able to show people the types of trailer storage and organization solutions we can help with. What better way for us to demonstrate the products we proudly manufacture than to have a show place we can haul around to race tracks, car cruises, auto shows, and other relevant events. We also figured it would be useful to have an enclosed trailer for the Pit Products crew to use for testing new product ideas and to help us stay aligned with our customers who are using Pit Products gear to achieve their trailer organization and trailer safety goals.

Thus began the Pit Products show trailer project!

As anyone who is buying a trailer would do, we asked ourselves a number of questions before deciding which trailer to purchase. The common questions of size, shape, type, and features needed to be analyzed, but first we thought it would make sense to outline what we would do with the trailer. The main things we’ll be using the trailer for are to take the trailer to different public events, to haul gear from time to time, to set up photo opportunities, and to test out new product ideas.


Here is what we decided on:
• Trailer length: 18 Foot
• Trailer weight: 1,978 Lb
• Trailer style: V-nose

We had many ideas for the customization and build out of our trailer. We’ll go into this in more detail in later posts, but some of the features we added to the trailer include: LED lighting, a solar charging system, tie down points, stabilizing jacks, and of course a wide array of storage cabinets, tire racks, ramps, helmet bays, workstations, and other Pit Products trailer storage and organization accessories.
