Over the next couple of weeks we'll go more in depth on some of the things Pit Products offers to help organize and add style to your garage and/or workshop. Today we'll do some background and basics.

The modern day garage has evolved from a small single car afterthought to what we know now as a hub of activity; from car storage, to workshop and beyond to the open house party/poker room. A little tid bit on the word Garage is that it came from the French word garage which was first recorded in the early 1800's as "a place where one docks." I don't recall any time in the past where I've told someone "I believe I will dock my car here." Just sounds kind of funny and wet to me. The verb garer originally meant "to put merchandise under shelter." This I can and do understand!

The garage is a mad scientist lab of sorts and it's the King's alone to decorate and organize and decorate and organize he must! Because I'm coming at this from a "King's" perspective, don't think this doesn't apply to women as well; there are some female "gear heads" and "wrench turners" out there that could put a lot of us to shame; well I'll speak for me/they can put me to shame.  It's their castle as well.

As a castle and the king (or queen) of that castle you get to decide on how to organize and fill that great hall that we call the garage.
