Troy from Michigan builds quarter midget race cars for youth drivers all across the Midwest USA. He recently worked with Pit Products to outfit his enclosed trailer with trailer storage cabinets, trailer tire troughs, trailer wall mount shock racks, trailer workstations, trailer extension ramps, and other trailer storage accessories so he could prepare for the 2014 racing season.

Troy has been building race cars and offering on track vehicle service for years ever since he and his kids raced on the circuit.  You can often see several cars he’s built racing at Pit Products’ neighboring race track…Jackson Speedway! 

Travelling throughout the quarter midget racing scene each summer, Troy hauls his enclosed car hauling trailer so he can deliver race cars, work on vehicles at the race tracks, and sell the racing accessories he offers. Troy’s in depth and hands on experience helps many drivers excel and win on the ovals.

Pit Products was asked to help outfit Troy’s car hauling trailer this winter and boy-oh-boy were we excited about the opportunity. Troy brought his trailer over so the Pit Products crew could check it out.

Before Installation

The goal outlined by Troy was to improve the look, functionality, safety, and overall quality of his trailer.  He told us he needs to be able to locate tools, replacement parts, cleaning supplies, lubricants, and all the other essentials required to win.  In addition, this is a car hauling trailer after all, so it is critical to allow easy load and unload of vehicles from the trailer.

During Installation

The Pit Products team got to work by recommending and installing the following items:

• Senior Workstation
• Base Cabinets
• Overhead Cabinets
• Locker
• Go Kart Tire Trough
• Trailer Refuse Station
• Trailer Door Slider Plates
• Trailer Door Ramps

We had a blast working with Troy on his enclosed trailer overhaul and we even came up with a new product to offer based on Troy’s recommendation. Pit Products now manufactures a spring rack specifically designed for mini sprint and quarter midget race cars.

At the end of the project Troy and our crew were very satisfied to have created a killer quarter midget race car hauling, vehicle service, and parts sales trailer for Troy. He seems pumped to get ready to haul this baby to his first weekend of racing next week!
