Pit Products recently spent the weekend of June 13-15 as an exhibitor in the fan plaza at Michigan International Speedway during the weekend of racing events centered around the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Quicken Loans 400. The Pit Products crew had a super time at the track meeting thousands of race fans during the three days we participated in the event. It was awesome to have the opportunity to introduce the trailer storage cabinets, garage cabinets, trailer storage accessories, and garage organization solutions we manufacture to the NASCAR world. We are fortunate to have several racing venues located near the Pit Products factory to quench our desire to watch racing and to compete as racers ourselves. We have go-kart tracks, circle tracks, dirt tracks, drag strips, moto-cross courses, off-road racing areas, and other ways to satisfy the need for speed, but the biggest racing venue in our area is certainly the 100,000 plus seat oval track at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. It’s exciting on MIS race weekends to see the traffic build up on local highways as race fans from all over the Midwest converge in the Jackson, Michigan area to view world class stock car racing. Having events such as the Quicken Loans 400 so close to Pit Products’ factory is fun for our team of race nuts and it offers us a place to demonstrate the quality trailer and garage cabinets and trailer storage solutions we manufacture. We decided to take the Pit Products show on the road and participate with some other sort of “well-known” companies you might have heard of such as Sprint, Ford, General Motors, McDonald's, UPS, and Monster Energy. UPS is a shipping partner of Pit Products so they stopped by the Pit Products exhibit to offer us a ride in their new delivery van model. The Pit Products exhibit was positioned just outside of the main grand stand area just about in line with the start and finish line on the inside of the racetrack. The location was amazing as there were thousands of race spectators walking by as they made their way through the fan plaza and into the race track. A few thousand people stopped by the Pit Products exhibit space and several hundred people were able to walk through the Pit Products demonstration trailer to learn first-hand about the trailer ramps, helmet bays, storage cabinets, workstations, and other trailer storage and trailer organization products we manufacture. We certainly had some characters visit us while we were displaying our products. It is a high energy and fun loving crowd that attends NASCAR events so we had a good time meeting the fans. It was exciting to have other exhibitors such as Monster Energy nearby. It is easy to be fired up when there are freestyle motocross racers flying through the air doing motorcycle acrobatics! Most of the people had never heard of Pit Products but they sure were enthusiastic to learn about the diamond plate aluminum trailer and garage storage cabinets they could now find from a USA based manufacturer. Several hundred people signed up to join the Pit Products mailing list so they could keep up to date on what’s new at Pit Products. Some of the visitors wanted to test the strength and durability of our cabinets so they jumped on top of our rolling four foot base cabinet to see for themselves. The same base cabinet on wheels really got around the track and was even able to meet up with the Spring Cup Trophy on Sunday during the race! Our first trip to Michigan International Speedway as an exhibitor was an excellent experience. We thoroughly enjoyed interacting with so many race fans and we appreciated all the compliments we received regarding the products we build.
