Each person has individual goals when outfitting an enclosed trailer with trailer storage cabinets, trailer ramps, trailer tire racks, and/or trailer storage accessories. It is worth the effort to plan out your trailers’ layout to have the best chance of achieving those goals.

The goals for the Pit Products show trailer included demonstrating the look, feel, form, and function of the trailer storage products we manufacture; offering a place for the Pit Products crew to test out new products ideas; creating a place where we could stage photo opportunities; and allowing us an enclosed trailer we could actually haul gear in from time to time.

We installed an assortment of products in order to meet our goals.

Trailer Storage Cabinets, Trailer Workstations, and Trailer Wall Cabinets

The left wall of our show trailer started to take shape once we installed a 4 foot trailer overhead cabinet in line with an 8 foot trailer overhead cabinet. These two cabinets offer generous and useful overhead storage for tons of gear we’ll be hauling to events around the Midwest. The trailer helmet bay was installed above in the v-nose to allow a place to hang clothes and to place helmets.

Trailer Storage Accessories and Trailer Organization Products

We decided to install a variety of trailer storage accessories and trailer organization products in order to demonstrate the variety of trailer outfitting solutions we offer. We started by installing a 4 ft trailer tire rack along the right wall next to the side door. Above the tire rack we placed a few trailer storage shelves and some trailer hat and coat hangers. Near the side door we placed the very handy trailer key chain caddie to offer a place to set down your keys, wallet, cell phone, spare change, screw driver, bottle opener, or whatever items you like to keep close by but you don’t want in your pockets while you are climbing under your car to fix a damaged part.

Toward the back of the trailer, near the fold down door, we placed a variety of trailer storage and trailer organization products. The trailer trash can is a must, especially if you have friends around who like to “claim” they didn’t know where to place their garbage. The trailer fuel jug rack and trailer funnel holder were mounted close to each other as fuel jugs and funnels go hand in hand just like dirt track races and Friday nights. We could not resist installing our amazing trailer zip tie holder which we think is one of the most beautiful (and strangely useful) products we manufacture. Finally, how could a Pit Products enclosed trailer be complete without a trailer ratchet strap hanger being installed in a convenient place since we all know we never can find those trusty ratchet straps?

Trailer Ramps and Trailer Safety Accessories

Safe and easy. That is the way we like to operate when loading gear into the trailer and unloading items out of the trailer. The Pit Products trailer assist ramps and trailer door slider plates help us achieve the trailer load and trailer unload goals of safety and simplicity.

Safety and security inside the trailer is vastly improved by the trailer wall bungee tracks we installed along the right side wall. These bungee tracks allow us to make last minute decisions on what to transport and they offer a safe and secure way of hauling them. Simply place your ladder, stool, propane tank, or whatever tool you have in mind in front of the bungee track and use a bungee cord or tie down strap to secure your equipment in place.

We like to always travel with general medical supplies and a flash light so naturally we installed the trailer first aid station and the trailer flash light holder in our trailer. These enclosed trailer safety accessories often come in handy at times when you least expect it.

Wow, that outlines the majority of the Pit Products trailer storage gear we installed in our new show trailer, but we’ll be trading different items in and out of the trailer as we go.
