“Full Pull”…Pit Products at the 2014 National Tractor Pulling Championships

The Pit Products crew enjoyed another set of new and exciting experiences a few weeks ago by hooking up the Pit Products demonstration trailer and pulling it down to Bowling Green, Ohio for the 2014 National Tractor Pulling Championships at the Wood County Fairgrounds.
The National Tractor Pulling Championships is the largest outdoor truck and tractor pulling event in the country and showcases the top competitors in the sport of truck and tractor pulling. Record crowds arrived for the awesome display of motorsports power. The tractor pull competitors were vying for the Bowling Green Championship Rings and bragging rights.
“Full pull” is the battle cry the crowd yells when a tractor pull competitor achieves a 300 foot long pull…a “full pull.” At first we didn’t have a clue what people were yelling about, but we quickly learned what “full pull” represents in the tractor pull world.
What an event. What a weekend. What an awesome set of tractor pulling fans we were able to meet. We had a blast and we were also able to introduce the Pit Products line of trailer and garage storage cabinets and organizational accessories to a completely new group of people. Let’s just say we can’t wait until next summer so we can meet up with all of our new tractor pull friends.
It wasn’t all fun and games though…the Pit Products team did have to spring into action during the event as one of our neighboring exhibitors experienced the common problem of getting their rolling cargo stuck in the gap between their trailer drop down door and the trailer floor. Fortunately, the man wearing the Pit Products logo on the back of his shirt in the following image, was able to save the day by performing an emergency install of a set of Pit Products trailer door slider plates to provide for an easy way to cover the trailer door thresh hold. It only took about 10 minutes and our neighbors from Alliance Agricultural Tires were back in business.
Several hundred National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) fans took some time to stop by the Pit Products demonstration trailer so they could see for themselves the trailer cabinets, garage storage cabinets, fuel jug holders, trailer tire racks, garage workbenches, and other assorted trailer and garage storage accessories we had on display. We sure enjoyed meeting the folks and one lucky raffle winner walked away with a free garage trash can!
A fair number of visitors didn’t only walk away with knowledge of what Pit Products can do to help them with their enclosed trailers, garages, man-caves, basements, or workshops…several tractor pull fans actually purchased the cabinets, workstations, and fold down work tables right off our trailer walls!
This gentleman drove up on his heavy duty golf cart, toured the demo trailer and ended up picking up a Pit Products fold down work table and one of the new Pit Products diamond plate tipped hats.
The young man in this photo decided he couldn’t leave the tractor pull without a new 8 foot overhead trailer cabinet from Pit Products. Yep, we had to get out the drill motor and unscrew the overhead cabinet from the inside of the trailer in order to sell it to him!
What a blast. We learned a ton about the tractor pull world and we were able to make hundreds of new friends. Now we won’t be clueless when somebody yells “full pull”…we’ll know what they are excited about!
