2014 Pit Products U.S. Sand Nationals is a Success

Pit Products had the distinct pleasure of being the title sponsor of the 2014 Pit Products U.S. Sand Nationals at West Michigan Sand Dragway, which took place on August 1st and 2nd. People from all over the United States and Canada showed up at West Michigan Sand Dragway to race their sand rail cars, sand dragsters, trucks, Jeeps, ATVs, dirt bikes, and dune buggies on the sand dunes, drag strips, and beaches of Lake Michigan. There were many amateur / weekend drivers with their factory vehicles, young riders on ATV’s, and even some professional racers driving custom built sand drag race cars. All arrived with the goal of converging on the sand dunes for a weekend of challenging climbing and racing. In addition to the main event, the Pit Products crew participated in the “warm up weekend” during July 25/26 as well as the July 31 car show at Wilson General Store in Mears, Michigan. The weather was perfect, the racing was excellent, the fans seemed to have a blast, and we got to make a ton of new friends in the outdoor recreational motorsports world. West Michigan Sand Dragway has been one of the premier sand drag racing facilities in the USA since it was established in 1983 in Mears, Mich. The Pit Products factory is located about 2 hours from West Michigan Sand Dragway and a couple members of the Pit Products crew race and/or visit the dragway several times each summer so it made a lot of sense for Pit Products to be involved. The orange Jeep in the photo below is driven by, Craig, a member of the Pit Products team. The Pit Products product demonstration trailer along with many examples of the trailer and garage storage cabinets, trailer ramps, tire racks, and other trailer and garage storage solutions manufactured by Pit Products were on display for the entire weekend. It was fun to introduce our products to the motorsports enthusiasts at the event. The racers and race fans who stopped by the trailer gave us several awesome ideas for new products for us to consider making for your trailer, garage, workshop, man cave, or kitchen…that’s right, one lady really wanted to outfit her kitchen with diamond plate aluminum cabinets from Pit Products…hey, we think that would be a great idea!
