- Vintage Race Car Driver Outfits Car Hauling Trailer with Pit Products
Mike, an amateur vintage race car driver from Lansing, Michigan, recently installed several Pit Products trailer storage and trailer organization accessories in his race car hauling trailer. Mike chose the Pit Products 4 foot tire rack, the junior workstation, the fuel jug rack, and a refuse station as the starting point for his car hauling trailer overhaul.
Mike contacted us a few weeks before his first race of 2014 in order to prepare his trailer for the four hour trip from his home in Michigan to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
Mike races as part of the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA). The SVRA puts together “fair, fun, and safe” events with the goal of seeing beautiful racing cars restored to their original racing specifications, but equipped with state of the art safety equipment and driver protection. The vintage cars race wheel-to-wheel with similar cars of the same era, restored to the specifications of their original racing rules. The SVRA promotes safety and fairness by conducting pre-race inspections and post-race follow-ups to ensure the only advantage on the track lies with the driver.
The event Mike was preparing for was the Mechanics Bank Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, which was held the weekend of June 26 through June 29, 2014. Mike desired to improve the organization and efficiency of the car hauling trailer he uses to transport his Crossle Car Company built race car. Mike uses the enclosed trailer to haul other vehicles he owns as well.
Mike sent us the following note:
“These photos were taken during my first race weekend at Mid-Ohio...I am very pleased with all of the products that you have provided and I highly recommend them to anyone who inquires!”
It is always exciting for the Pit Products crew to receive customer photos. We love to learn how our customers are improving their trailers, garages, workshops, man caves, factories and other spaces with the storage and organization equipment we manufacture.
We like the way Mike laid out his trailer with the tire rack mounted over the top of the car tie down location and it looks smart to use the trailer side door as a place to install the junior workstation. Mike built his own storage cabinet for the front area of the enclosed trailer and that looks like it is doing the job. He is also incorporating a Pit Products fuel jug rack and a refuse station to help his trailer stay organized and looking sharp while at the track or in his driveway.
Best of luck with the rest of the 2014 race season, Mike. Please let us know how you do and be sure to send photos of the trophies you’ll be hoisting! We appreciate you for choosing Pit Products as your supplier of trailer storage equipment and trailer organization accessories!
